About Sarah

Hello!

I’m Sarah, a professional female voice actor and narrator based in Tokyo. I began my voice-over journey in 2015. I was teaching English at schools during the day and for business professionals in the evenings when I was chosen to narrate some Business English CDs for professionals who were learning English as a Foreign Language (EFL). I was excited to have the chance to be in a professional recording studio for the first time! I was hooked! I eagerly traveled an hour each way to the studio for 8 hours a day, for a week, and loved every minute of it. I knew right then that I wanted to do this for a living.

For the next several years my teaching career blossomed and I was able to teach my university degree subjects, physics and math. I taught junior high school science and math as well as high school math. I still use these skills today with voice-over. My specialty is to narrate “big” science-y words to make them sound conversational and less intimidating, making technical copy sound approachable and understandable to the listener. 

I became a full time voice-over artist in 2020 and am very grateful for every chance I get to use my voice and collaborate with others to make something new and creative. 

You can find my voice in various places around Japan, from big brands like Sony Interactive Entertainment, Panasonic and Hitachi, to medical and scientific companies like Otsuka Pharmaceutical and Daiichi Sankyo, to beauty and luxury brands like Shiseido and Dior. I also do ADR and video game character acting whenever I get the chance.

I recently became a Featured Voice Talent on my agency’s website. And I stay as active as possible, always learning with coaches, workshops, workout groups, acting classes, and anything I can find to learn more about the craft of storytelling, voice acting, narration and voice-overs.

I would be thrilled to work with you. I’m not happy unless you’re happy and I will do as many retakes necessary for you to be 100% satisfied with the results. 

I work with clients from my home studio, and I work with local clients in professional studios around Tokyo. I am also willing to travel outside the city because I love every chance to see more of Japan!
